Who we are
SMP Creative Studio(“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a photography studio rental in Altamonte Springs, FL, and the website at smpcreativestudio.com. This policy explains what we collect when you visit the site or book the studio, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to take a booking and run the studio:
Contact details: your name, email address, and mobile phone number, which you provide when you book.
Booking details: the space, date, time, and duration you reserve, and your membership status if you have one.
Payment information: processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we keep only a payment reference.
Proof of insurance: the document you upload at booking, stored privately and shared only with studio staff.
Basic usage data: standard server and analytics information your browser sends when you use the site.
How we use your information
To take and manage your booking and process payment.
To send booking confirmations, reminders, and changes by email and, if you opt in, by text.
To send our newsletter (new set announcements, occasional promos, and studio news) if you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To verify proof of insurance and enforce the studio rules you agree to at booking.
To run the membership program and apply member pricing.
To respond to your questions and provide support.
Text messages (SMS)
If you check the consent box at booking, we’ll send you an appointment reminder by text before your session (about two hours ahead, including arrival details). This is a transactional reminder, not marketing. Message frequency is limited, generally up to about one message per booking.
Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. You can also leave the consent box unchecked and still book. Text reminders are optional and email reminders are always sent.
We do not sell or share your mobile information or your SMS opt-in/consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number is used only to deliver the messages described here.
Email newsletter & marketing
You can join our email list from the signup form on this site or by checking the optional box when you book. We use it to share new seasonal set announcements, the occasional promo, and a little studio news. Active members are added so they hear about new sets first (a membership perk) and can opt out at any time like anyone else.
Every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link and our mailing address. This is separate from booking confirmations and reminders, which are transactional and sent regardless of your newsletter choice. We use Resend to manage the list and deliver these emails, and we do not sell or rent your email address.
How we share information
We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make bookings work, and only as needed to provide the service:
Stripe: payment processing.
Resend: email delivery (booking confirmations, reminders, and our newsletter).
Twilio: text-message delivery for reminders you’ve opted into. As noted above, SMS consent data is never shared for third-party marketing.
Google Calendar: your booking is added to the studio’s private calendar.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
Data retention & security
We keep booking and payment records for as long as needed to run the studio and meet legal and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymize them. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including private storage for insurance documents and encrypted connections.
Your choices
You can opt out of text reminders any time by replying STOP, and unsubscribe from our newsletter using the link in any newsletter email. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@smpcreativestudio.com.
Children
The site and booking service are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here on this page.
