SMP Creative Studio

Maitland's natural-light studio, right next door.

Maitland has always had a creative streak, from the historic art center to the makers and families who live here. We are just up the road, so the studio is about as close to a Maitland backyard as a real photography studio gets.

Worth the drive from Maitland.

Because we are so close, the studio is an easy, no-traffic option for Maitland photographers, creators, and families. Shoot a quick portrait session in Studio A, batch a month of content in Studio B, or bring the family in for seasonal photos without driving across town. The light is the kind that makes everybody look good.

Maitland wears its creative streak proudly, from the historic artist colony at the Maitland Art Center to indie nights at the Enzian, and it shows in the work local photographers bring through our doors: film-inspired portraits, content days for makers and small brands, and family photos for the same crowd you'd bump into at the Lake Lily farmers market. Being a few minutes away means the studio works like an extension of your kit, not a destination you plan a whole day around.

The two rooms cover different moods. Studio A is the larger room, with white-painted floors and soft afternoon light that suits portraits and family sessions. Studio B pairs concrete floors with bright morning light for a cooler, more editorial frame, a favorite with creators batching a month of content in one visit. Book either by the hour with live availability online, and when a shoot outgrows one room, take both.

Before you make the drive.

How far is the studio from Maitland?
Just up the road. We're in Altamonte Springs, a few minutes from Maitland with no highway required, and free parking waits outside the door. Plenty of Maitland photographers book a morning hour and are home before lunch.
Can I book a content day?
That's one of the most common bookings we see. Creators reserve a few hours, bring a rack of outfits, and batch weeks of photo and video in one visit. Studio B's morning light is a favorite for it, and half-day and full-day rates bring the per-hour price down on longer shoots.
Do I need to be a photographer to book?
Not at all. Most renters are photographers, but anyone can book the space for their own shoot. And if you'd like photos without hiring separately, ask us about a session with Sydney, the photographer behind the studio.
